Dr. Nadin L.G. Benito is a well known International Interior Designer at “Welcome Home Designs” as well as “Welcome Home Foundation”, based on the Caribbean island of Curaçao where she has more than 20 years of Interior Design experience, as well as being producer of her own TV shows, such as Update My Space, Welcome Home, Gentlemen’s Club among a few.

 

In the course of her path with commercial and residential design for elite clients, her “end of year Pro Bono designs” was a noble way to help unfortunate families cope with several down falls in life.

 

During the illness and passing of both of her parents in less than 1 year apart, but also 3 of her close friends due to Cancer, Dr. Nadin founded “Welcome Home Foundation” which is for more than 7 years dedicated in designing Pro Bono for a good cause. Namely for Cancer patients and survivors who went through drastic life changes, by designing their bedroom completely for free to give them hope and gather much needed strength.

 

Dr. Nadin has been featured in various magazines, newspapers, TV shows, blogs, speaking events and radio shows locally and internationally through the USA like in e.g. “Victorious By Design” Magazine”, “Her Story Our Story”, “Creative Voices”, “VIP Global Magazine”, “Black Women Who Love Christmas Decor Home”, “Women and Girls of Color”, “RETV News Break”, “Positivo” in The Netherlands, but also locally in e.g. “Bo Tra’i Merdia”, “Mainta”, “Amigoe Express”, “On Top Magazine”, “Hende Extraordinario” and “MO Vlogs” among others.

Recently, Dr. Nadin has been featured in "Victorious By Design" Magazine" in the USA as one of the "24 Influential  Woman Entrepreneurs to Watch in 2024".

 

Dr. Nadin has presented her craft of Interior Design by giving workshops and consultation to well known home decor stores which resulted in great sales for these stores. She has organized a unique event where notable Interior Designers and Chefs from HGTV and FoodNetwork were present here in Curaçao to host several workshops and promoting the island of Curaçao. Also she has organized a promotional trip with a local brass band where, as the sole band representing the island, performed and shot a video clip at the Time Square - New York.

 

Dr. Nadin is a fierce entrepreneur that has been recognized among International Interior Designers by “Black Interior Designers” in the USA for her work ethic, knowledge, professionalism and dedication.

  

She also received a recognition at the Consulate of the United States in Curaçao for her works and good causes done with Welcome Home Foundation.

 

Dr. Nadin has an extensive expertise in Interior Design, Business Coaching, Management, Marketing, TV shows production and now also her “I Will Survive!” line of products, that has been presented during a makeover in the US national TV show “George to the Rescue” and also in local TV shows “10 Minutos de Inspiracion” and “MO Vlogs”.

 

Dr. Nadin continues to set the bar to excel in everything she puts her mind on. Recently she has published her first books “I Will Survive! Inspirational Coloring Journal” as well as “Clean Up Your Own Shit!” among some more that are to be published, available on Amazon & Barnes & Noble.

 

Apart from this, also she has designed and launched her own line of comfortable trendy sneakers “I Will Survive!”, which is inspired to continue supporting Cancer patients and survivors through her philanthropic works at her foundation.

 

Dr. Nadin has been nominated and chosen to receive the “President Biden’s Lifetime Achievement Award” in  USA for her lifetime, philanthropy and community contributions locally and internationally. The “President Biden’s Lifetime Achievement Award” highlights individuals who are the driving force of individuals in power, leadership and entrepreneurs, that strive to engage like-minded professionals, communities, educational entities and political area ideas which enhances and broaden the minds of the younger generation.

 

Dr. Nadin has followed her studies at the M.A.O College and at the University of Curaçao and has a degree in Management, Business Administration and in the Languages English, Dutch, Spanish and Papiamentu. She also obtained her “Doctorate in Philosophy” majoring in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship in Georgia, USA as the sole citizen from Curaçao among all the American graduates, which is a great achievement for Curaçao.
